“Party Rock Anthem” singer Lauren Bennett has died.
The musician died in England May 29 at the age of 36, just one month before her birthday, according to Kent and Medway Coroner records obtained by USA TODAY. The news was formally announced by her former band, G.R.L., in a heartfelt statement posted to their official Instagram page Monday, July 6.
“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” it read. “Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us.
