A hallmark of every “Toy Story” movie is at least one soul-crushing and/or tear-jerking moment, and cowgirl Jessie is at the center of the latest heartbreaking scene.

Voiced by Joan Cusack, Jessie goes on an adventure in “Toy Story 5” that returns her to a farm she once called home with her first owner, Emily. That is, until Emily suddenly donated Jessie, an emotional reveal that dates back to Jessie’s debut in 1999’s “Toy Story 2.”

She’s had abandonment issues ever since, which is why Jessie is triggered in the new movie when she’s replaced as little Bonnie’s favorite toy by the tablet computer Lilypad (Greta Lee) and left behind. But in a scene that will hit even the hardest heart right in the feels, Jessie returns to the tree where she and Emily used to play and unearths a time capsule. In it is a photo with a note where Jessie discovers that Emily didn’t forget her – in fact, she named her daughter after her beloved doll.
